Nintendo Wii U
Nintendo has finally revealed launch details for its Wii successor, the Wii U. The console and its unique tablet controller arrive in Europe on 30 November, 12 days after its US launch.
Two version of the console will be available - a Basic model and Premium edition. The Basic model includes a white Wii U console with 8GB of storage, its unique GamePad controller, an AC adaptor for each and an HDMI cable.
The Premium edition, meanwhile, features a black 32GB version of the console, a GamePad controller, AC adaptors, an HDMI cable, controller cradle and a copy of Nintendo's controller showcase mini-games compilation, NintendoLand. In the US, the Basic and Premium consoles are set to launch at $300 and $350 respectively, but the UK prices will be determined by UK retailers.
A strong line-up of games is set to launch alongside the console. These include Wii U exclusives NintendoLand, New Super Mario Bros U and ZombiU, plus big-name third-party titles FIFA 13 and Mass Effect 3: Special Edition. Other blockbusters primed for 'launch window' release include Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Assassin's Creed III, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.
Even more exciting is the news that sequels to the fantastic Bayonetta and Monster Hunter will arrive exclusively for the console at a later date. Nintendo has also primed its highly-anticipated Pikmin 3 for release in 2013.
